After more than 40 years operating under the name Allied Electrical and Power, the company has changed it’s name to Robertson Electrical & Mechanical or REM for short. STS Holdings sold the company in September 2015 to Kenny Robertson and the name change was made formal February 1, 2017.
Kenny spent well over 20 years at Baldor and left there as the Western Region Sales Manager covering everything west of the company headquarters in Fort Smith Arkansas. His experience and desire to take his new company to a new level is already apparent as several changes have taken place including the addition of more former Baldor personnel in sales representative Todd Butcher and Administrative Assistant Karen Kleck.
With Kenny and Todd bringing their experience to the company, we now have nearly 100 years of combined motor industry experience in our sales and management team. We have updated our computer system, made investments in equipment and are in the process of upgrading our shop workspace to provide a superior environment for the repair of motors, gear reducers, pumps and related industrial equipment.
Going forward in 2017 we will have an increased focus on new motor sales with a couple of new product lines coming and will be renewing our commitment to our existing lines such as ABB/Baldor, Toshiba, Teco-Westinghouse, SEW-Eurodrive, Leeson, Grove Gear and many others.
